This lamp has been built as part of a machinist internship in which I took part. My goal was to build a floor lamp inspired from an articulated construction crane.

The lamp is built mainly out of steel. The dimensions are 2.5m high x 1.5m wide. The mechanical features such as the pulleys, tensioning cables and springs are visible, giving it a distinctive mechanical look.

The design has been inspired by the work of Heinz Julen.

Welcome to Sark, a site where I share the projects I have been working on. Feel free to contact me for questions or propositions.

The name “Sark” was taken from¬†the isle of Sark, a beautiful island in the english channel.
