Wind Turbine

The goal of that project was to build a wind turbine to power home appliances. The project consisted of PVC blades, a Fisher&Paykel rewired electric motor, a charge controller and a lead-acid battery. The wind turbine worked for two years until exploding violently in a storm. The failure was due to the PVC degrading with the sun’s UV light.

This project was part of my high school graduation.
